What we do

Contrary to popular belief, training with, and utilizing a weapon is a major way to protect yourself and your loved ones from harm. And we ALWAYS Stay Bladed!

refers to ancient and newer fighting methods devised in the Philippines. It incorporates elements from both Western and Eastern Martial Arts. The intrinsic need for self-preservation was the genesis of these systems. Throughout the ages, invaders and evolving local conflict imposed new dynamics for combat in the islands now making up the Philippines. The Filipino people developed battle skills as a direct result of an appreciation of their ever-changing circumstances. They learned often out of necessity how to prioritize, allocate and use common resources in combative situations. Filipinos have been heavily influenced by a phenomenon of cultural and linguistic mixture. Some of the specific mechanisms responsible for cultural and martial change extended from phenomena such as war, political and social systems, technology, trade and of course, simple practicality.

as well as the term “Arnis” also refer to the weapon arts of the Philippines. As well as being heavy on weapons training, Escrima, Kali & Arnis also have a tremendous development of empty hand techniques and tactics as well as grappling tactics. Escrima is one of the deadliest types of martial arts in the entire World. It is known for its practicality and extremely brutal methods of dealing with an aggressor.

is a particular style of the Filipino Martial Arts (Escrima, Kali, Arnis). It is used here to show that within the general terms of Escrima, Kali and Arnis that there are styles within the FMA’s. And even sub-systems within the systems. Other popular “styles” of FMA’s besides Balintawak include Kalis Ilustrisimo, Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, Doce Pares, Modern Arnis, Inosanto Kali, Cabales Serrada Escrima, and many others. In fact, there are just as many styles and sub-styles of Filipino Martial Arts as there are islands in the Philippines.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting.

Being that our organization is called “Stay Bladed“, you can guess and understand that we prefer edged weapons as one of our primary weapons. In our eyes, edged weapons are the simplest of weapons that do the most damage when needed. A knife never jams and it is always ready to go. There are also many different styles of bladed weapons to suit all types of individuals and personalities.

Other Shit

Besides training in bladed weaponry, many of our Capos, Members and Associates have training in various other systems. We like to bring in other aspects of different systems to expand our knowledge base of combat.

Contact one of our Capos in your area for further information.
